Researching James West b. 1817 NJ and wife Lydia Johnson b. 1825 NJ. Married 1844 in Monmouth Co, NJ. Had 7 children: Ezekiel, Miller William, John Richard, Alfred, Elizabeth, Susan Melissa, and James H.. The Family moved from Monmouth Co NJ to Wapello Co, Iowa in 1867-1870. They lived there til James and Lydia's deaths in 1893-4. James & Lydia are buried in Mounts Cemetery, Davis Co, Iowa.
Possible brotheres of James include:1) Levi West b. 1831 NJ d. 1912 IA m. 1851 in Ind to Martha Willis b. 1833 TN? d. 1884 Wapello Co, IA. They had many children including: Almedia, David J., Will, Edward, Lauretta and Charles E. Most born in Wapello Co, IA.
2) John Richmond (Richard) West b. Oct 1826 NJ d. 1906 Wapello Co., IA m. 1849 Indiana to Elizabeth Addington b. 1826 IN d. 1911 Wapello Co, IA they had children: Philip C., Nancy Emma, Sarah, Alpheus G., Job J., John?, Leona O., and Minerva J.
3) Jacob West b. July 1824 NJ d. 1901 Wapello co, IA. Married 1848 in IND to Catharine J. Willis b. bef 1834 TN d. bef 1880 IA. They had at least one child Alice West b. 1852 a school teacher.

Looking for info on possible parents among the Monmouth County, NJ West's =)
