The LABREE Family Line contains 28 generations of LaBrees and allied families. These generations span the years from 1474 to 1938. Much of the information came from the states of Maine and Massachusets and eventually across the ocean to England. My great-grandfather, Charles LaBree, came to Michigan in the 1870s following the lumber industry from Maine. Traveling through Canada, he settled in the towns of Ludington and Manistee, Michigan. Charles' parents, grand-parents and g-grand-parents were early settlers of the state of Maine. Little information is known about Peter LaBree, the immigrant, who came to Maine about 1759 from France. I welcome additional information concerning the LaBree family and will share information I have with other family members. The allied families include the names of: AUSTIN (1670-1762), FRYE (1642-1686), THOMPSON (1584-1712),and WHITE (1608-1709).
