My family history in the U.S. is primarily from the mid 1800s to the present. Most of my ancestors have lived in Southeastern Pennsylvania, primarily in Philadelphia and the suburbs. My ancestors emigrated from Puerto Rico and Spain on my mother's mother's side (Garcia), Ireland (Devine, O'Connor, Fitzmaurice) and probably Germany (Critzer) on my mother's father's side, and Germany on father's side (Bicer, Heisler). My research currently goes as far back as the late 1700s to my great-great-great-great-great grandfather William Hamilton of Philadelphia (lived there, birthplace is unknown to me), my mother's father's mother's father's mother's father's father.
