I've always had a small fascination with the history of my family, but it was not until my father passed away, that I grew a passion for knowledge of my families' past.
The real work in the history of my family comes from my grandmother, who still live today at age 98, and still going strong. She just bought her first computer this month, 4 years shy of 99 years of age!
Anyways, she did an enormous amount of research, patiently waiting for a letter to arrive, about one of her many inquiries at courthouses, county offices, etc. Do you think even 10% of us would be researching our genealogy if we didn't have computers?
I have a good amount of information on my family, but there are a lot things I am missing, just like most of you, I assume.
