I am trying to to find out how my family descendants got here from Germany. I would like to find out who Leonard Swartz's father was. Leonard was born in 1758 in PA, died 1806 and married Elizabeth Boyer. I am a descendant from his son George who was born 1799 and died 1870 in PA. George also had a son named Leonard, born 1834, who married Mary Rife. Thus came my grandgather, Willian Henry Swartz, born 1860 in PA, who married Sarah Elizabeth Zink. Leonard and Mary moved from PA to MD about 1879. Besides Wm. H., there were other children, John Burton, Ida Florence, Laura Va, Ralph Emory, and Elmer Elsworth, who died in infantcy.
