This Family Research starts with Bridget Flanagan, born in County Cork, Ireland in the late 1700's and her eventual migration to America in the 1820's where she settled in the area of Seventh and South Streets in Philadelphia, Pa. She gave birth to a daughter named Jane Flanagan, who married an East Indian who had changed is name to Frank Allen. Frank & Jane Allen had several children and some of their decendents settled in Atlantic City, New Jersey. One of their children, a daughter, Agnes Anastasia Allen met and married a Negro with the last name of Brown. That Marriage produced two daughters, Laura Brown of Philadelphia, Pa and Evelyn Gertrude Brown of Atlantic City, New Jersey. Laura Brown married Jerome Watson Montier & that marriage produced four Children, Edna Montier-Scott, Maude Anastasia Montier-Snead, Helen Marie Montier-Banks-Thompson-Blythe and a son Hiram Montier all of Philadelphia, Pa. After Agnes Brown's husband passed away she met Henry Martin in Philadelphia and eventually married him, and that marriage produced four children, Emma Martin-Williams, Walter Martin, William Martin & Minerva Martin-Garner. According to their daughter Minerva, Henry Martin was an East Indian who had changed his name and fled the poverty of India aboard a British Naval ship and jumped ship at an America port at the age of 14 years old, eventually moving to Phildelphia, Pa.
