Parents were John Mudryj and Anna Kushnier. Atanas was born 7/15/1887 in what was then Austria-Hungary and today is western Ukraine near Ternopal or Lviv.
He had two brothers, Dmitri and Vasyl and a sister Marta. He spent some time in Vienna before coming to the U.S.
He was a fur dresser in the U.S.living in Bayonne, NJ and Brooklyn, NY.
The family name was shortened to Mudry and he was also known as Tony, Antoni or Tanas.
He married Ksenia Turczyn.
