When I started about 1999, my brother and sisters and I knew our grandparents and had the name of two great grandparents but knew nothing of them. It turns out that our branches had fallen far from every tree to which they had once been attached. We knew almost nothing of our great grandparents and nothing of the associated grand aunts or cousins. Thanks to the Internet and the help of many kind folk we have addressed that issue. There are still brick walls to overcome and cousins to discover but much progress has been made. Many of the folks found in my family tree are cousins or families that eventually lead to cousins. My mother was a Munson (Thomas Munson Foundation) and her family is connected several different ways to the Holcomb (Thomas Holcomb of Connecticut) families of New England, Ohio and Wisconsin. The Boyers came to Washington state in 1920 from Minnesota and the Munson's from Wisconsin sometime before 1920.
