Updated February 27, 2002

About Our Family Research

Decendants of John Epsey Wasson 1st,2nd,3rd,4th. John F. Wasson, was my GGGrandfather. Died young, 3 months before John Mills Wasson was born, who was my GGrandfather. My grandfather was last of 12 children of John Mills, (Charles Holmes (Billie) Wasson, b 1880). The 1st John Epsey landed in Boston sometime after 1650's. Large property owner in Virginia, sold Augustine Washington property that is today "Mt. Vernon" in 1735, Augustine was George Washington's father. Trying to find out what & where the rest of the Wasson's migrated & how & what they did. My GGrandfather John Mills Wasson is one of the foundling fathers of Winn Parish LA. There are articles about him & other relatives that migrated to Winn ph. in mid-1800's. He & Sarah Elizabeth (Holmes) Wasson came to LA. from Talledego County, TN. They had 12 children. Still researching, anyone who has more info, let me know.
