It all started with a keener than usual interest in the pioneers when I was studying history in school. Then my father died and I found out what an extraordinary woman his mother was through her writing. I've been working on this on and off for about 6 years so far and it's given me hours of enjoyment, not to mention pride in the strength and fortitude of our family and the great faith that brought them to the valley in the 19th century.
