I have recently begun to research my family history, beginning with my mother's side of the family. So far, up to the fifth generation of my ancestors everyone has originated in East Yorkshire. Family names which make up my history include Bird, Lambert, Douglass, Proctor, Angel, Hunter, Stow and Crosby(or Gossby). The area covered so far is mainly in Holderness, around Easington and Patrington, and the city of Hull. I would be very pleased to hear from anyone researching any of these names in this area.
