I have been researching my families for about the last 10 years- my appetite was whetted by a family reunion and subsequent book in 1988 called "Family, Friends & Felons" by David Binks. I discovered that 2 of my ancestors were convicts and were sent to Tasmania (Van diemen's Land).

• Annie Lidgett (nee Taylor) (12 KB)
  Annie Lidgett married Robert Lidgett 18 January 1862. They emigrated to Australia and had 9 children 6 attained adulthood. She is my great, great grandmother.
• Dorothy Dugdale and Daniel Lidgett 5/6/1937 (18 KB)
  My Grandparents on their wedding day 5 June 1937. Dorothy was the youngest of the 4 children of William Dugdale and Hannah Richards and Dan the only surviving child of Robert Lidgett and Margaret Hughes
