Elizabeth Shook (daughter of Lawrence Shook) was born Abt. 1770 in Probably on Maidens Choice in Maryland, and died Bef. 1801.

Elizabeth is mentioned in a Deed between Lawrence, her father, and Lord Fairfax, executed on March 19th 1779, as a daughter of Lawrence.

In a later transaction involving the same property in Sep of 1801 she is mentioned as being deceased.
County of Hardy the 9th day of September 1801." Moses Welton made the lease as attorney for Lawrence Shook. (Hardy County deed Book A, page 433). The deed also indicated that sometime between 1779 and 1794, Lawrence Shook's daughter, Elizabeth, died and her interest went to Isaac Welton, either her husband or a son.

On a list of marriages performed by the Rev. Valentine Powers, a minister of the German Baptist Brethren (Dunker) faith, there appears the following. "Henry Neff to Elizabeth Shook May 23rd 1792.
This marriage is recorded in the Hardy Co. Courthouse Drawer #1.
