I'm just starting my geneology quest and about the only thing I know for sure after spending all day at it is this: it isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Despite having quite a few dates and names I really haven't gotten very far. My father was Charles Alfred Brydges(b.1916)born in Saltcoats Saskatchewan, Canada of Irish descent, divorced when he married my mom Dec 31, 1944 ( Grace Mary Ann nee Ash b.Mar 8,1919) his parents were Alfred Brydges(b.1865) and Phyllis(Pringle) of Petrolia, Ontario. My father had two sisters Helen Speirs{Jack} Winnipeg MB and Mick[not sure her fully name] Spence[Floyd] Regina Sk. Possibly Alfred's parents were John and Phoebe Brydges, children were William b.1863, Alfred 1865 (my great grandfather), Louisa b.1867, Elizabetb.1869.
I now know that my dad, Charlie was married after my mom, in Manitoba possibly. I have two half-siblings, one male [Charles}, one female [Betty].
