David McKillop II is the oldest confirmed tracable ancestor of the McKellips line. No confirmation has yet been made of his relationship to David McKillop and Margaret Drummond. This relationship is based on the 1918 genealogy by Stephen McKellips and May McKellips Pared in which it is alluded that David married a Margaret in Scotland. Research in that direction produced this possibility. David was reportedly born on the boat to America or very soon afterward. David and Margaret left Scotland for Londonderry, Ireland very soon after 1705 and probably to America after that.
