A year ago I started looking for my past both here in the United States (through my dad's line) and in Italy (through my Mom's line). It has been a fascinating and frustrating experience.

I have learned about about both sides of my family and have met many distant cousins in my research. I seem to have a stumbling block or a brick wall in Lousiana where my great-grandfather was born.

So far I can state that my father was Joseph Kindell Bridges, JR born in Holly Springs, Mississippi in July 1926 and died in Fort Hood, Texas in February 1959. My grandfather was Joseph Kindell Bridges Sr born in Meridan, Mississippi in 1880's and died in Quitman County, Mississippi in 1940. My great grandfather was Joseph Nimrod Bridgesborn in 1863 in Kentwood, LA and died Febraury 1940 in Laurel, Jones Co., Mississippi.
