I recently came to find out that there is a Natural Park/Region on the West coast of France that bears the name Brière. I suppose I should have noticed it sooner, but now that I know it's there, my husband and I are determined to visit it. I would like to be able to trace my ancestry back through to the Canadian landing and to the Brière region, if indeed it originates there.
I speak a very little French at the moment, hopefully some courses here will change that.
