In June 2006 for the occassion of the Brining Reunion held in Great Bend, Kansas, I researched the genealogy of Christian Fredric Brining and his wife Catherine Christiana Hagley who immigrated from Wurtemburg, Germany in about 1856 and finally settled in Kansas. Their son, John Martin Brining married Martha Giddens thus I also researched her family line finding the Descendants of James Giddens and Sarah Armstrong who immigrated from England in 1871 also settling in Kansas. All the families attending the reunion received a copy of the family history as did the public library in Great Bend, Kansas. I welcome queries in hopes of helping others find the joy that I found in documenting these pioneering families and their rich legacy.
