My goal is to include our lineage in the Big Flat Homecoming book. I have been working on our lineage only since June 2002, and my results come mainly from the gathered input of relations I have located through the internet.
If we could all contribute information in one spot, I believe that more relations would come forth and contribute more, and eventually have a story to tell our children and grandchildren! Possibly even our own "book" with pages for each line!
Pictures will be included, providing I can get actual photos that will scan and produce good quality. I will provide my address to those who request it via email.
I think the information so far is accurate, though there are some discrepancies that I would like to iron out, with everyone's help. We have a tremendous task ahead of us, since Sparta was so busy!
Especially, I would like to trace the lineage back before Sparta. Our family is so spread out that it should be easier - those who live in areas that can be traced to Sparta could use their local library, genealogy associations, government records, etc. to gather information.
CURTIS FAMILY REUNIONS - Memorial weekend every year at Big Flat, Arkansas. I would like to see us have HUGE reunions - they seem to be dwindling down every year. Let's work on this!
