I am attempting to build a family tree for my children, who are all adults. This is complicated by the fact that my parents and grandparents are deceased, and due to their ages, and my age, I am running out of time to get this finished. I would appreciate any assistance that anyone can offer.
I know that my mothers parents were Stella Laverty born in Middletown, Pa., and my grandfather was Charles Phy. They lived in Philadelphia, Pa. until at least the mid-1940's and my grandmother lived in Huntington Valley, Pa. until her death in the early 1950's.
My mother was Jennie (Phy) Poirier. She was in the Navy in 1944, and married my father Joseph Arthur Poirier in Washington, D.C.in late 1944. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa. and my father was born in Stockton, California. My mother died in 1957 in Sautell Veterans Hospital in Los Angelas in 1957.
