Descendants of Nicholas Brisse

About Our Family Research


We have been working on the Brisse Family Tree since 1978. We have proof that Nicholas Brisse emigrated from Alsace-Lorraine, France and lived in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He married Catharine Engelhard, daughter of Faldin Engelhard and Katherine (Bush) Engelhard. They had one son, George -- my grandfather -- who was born and raised in Richmond, Minnesota. Nicholas Brisse was killed by Indians near Ft. Abercrombie, ND on August 23, 1864.
