Recently Kevin asked his sister Vicki if he could help with the family research that she has been working on for years for all sides of the family. Kevin wanted to start on the Briggs side. The project she gave him is to determine the father of Zephaniah Briggs
born 1808 in NY. and married Mary born in 1809 of VT. So far we
are unable to determine their parentage. One of their children was Zephiniah Briggs born May 1835 died 2 Jul 1901 in
Crawford County, PA.
We are currently trying to see if Zephiniah's father was a child
of Zephaniah Briggs born 13 Jul 1759/1765 in Rhode Island and died about 1829 in Chautauqua County, NY. This Zephaniah was a child of Azariah and Dorcas Briggs.
Early in the game for Kevin, but so far the 1808/1809 Zephaniah & Mary are winning at hide-and-go-seek.
