I will first begin with the descendants of my grandmother. Thomas Foster was born about 1580 in England. The next five generations are also from England. In the fifth generation, Robert Foster and his family migrated from NorthCumberland, New England, to Rockford Alabama. Family Lore is that Richard had thought that he killed his brother Billy, so they moved to Village, AR. His wife was Martha Jacks. The only information that I have is on Monroe Foster. He was one of their children. Monroe married Ellen Ballard, and they had seven children. Gracie, the oldest one, was my grandmother's mother. She died when my grandmother was 10, so Gracie's brother, Ovelton, raised her. Gracie married Garvice, and shortly after Gracie died, he married Lucy Merle Rowe. Garvice then died later, and Lucy Merle remained a big part of the family. My grandmother, Joyce, got married to Murphy Donald Stringfield. They had 3 children. Don, Dee, and Tonya. Don was my father. Joyce and Murphy got a divorced, and several years later, Murphy died. He got remarried to Martha Hernandez. They had one child. Murphy's parents were Ernest and Essie Graham. Essie's dad was Hosea Graham and her mother was Margaret Morris. Murphy's grandparents are William Jesse and Ophlia Smith. Ophlia died when Murphy was a baby, and William married Ollia Jane. My dad's siter, Dee, married Mike Grey, and they had one daughter, Desiray. They got a divorce, and she remarried to Mark McWhinney. They have 2 boys. My dad's other sister, Tonya, married Ernie Waters,and they have a boy, and a girl. My dad married Glendora Bennett. Her mother was Joyce McCawley. Joyce's mother was Beulah and her father was Aubrey. Joyce's grandparents were Sebe Pharris and Laura Stout. Joyce married Glenn Bennett on May 14, 1949. They had two children. Glenda, and my mother, Glendora. My mom married my dad, and they had 2 children. Angela, and me, Marcia. Angela was with David Walker,and they had a son, Ashley. They never got married. She married Mike Steelman from Decatur AL, and they had a daughter, Mandi Jo. At the moment, they are in the process of a divorce. I, Marcia, got married to James Ronald Brigham. We have one daughter, Nicole. My husband's parents are Barbara Dorris, and Billy Brigham. Billy died of cancer, and his mom is still alive. They had seven children. Amy, James, Billy, Laura, Jason, Ben, and one that died at birth.
