Ventura Selby family goes back to Mordecai Selby in the early 1700's in MD..then OH then all points west. Lloyd Benton Selby came to Ventura CA in 1887 with his wife Marjorie Tillery Selby and 5 children(the youngest only 6 months old, John Lloyd Selby)
Lloyd established a Law practice with W.H. Barnes and his 6th child was born in Ventura, Benjamin Wells Selby.

Charlotte Felicia married Frederich Wadleigh and Mary Elizabeth married (1) Ira Gosnell (2) Gird Percy , John Lloyd married Zora Claire Percy and Benjamin Wells married (1) June Sage (2) Eula Held.
