Over the past few years several family members have begun exploring the origin of the Brideson clan. It was through these efforts that we met two cousins we never knew. We have formed a strong bond and together have been able to fill in some of the gaps.
While growing up in Brooklyn, NY, my father was not in contact with his family and consequently, my brothers, sisters and I grew up not knowing our aunts, uncles and cousins. I would like to meet more of my family, have the circle continue to grow, and find more pieces of the puzzle.
My father's parents were William E. Brideson and Agnes Ustick. He had several aunts and uncles (James, Elizabeth, Joseph, Edward, Adele, and Loretta). He also had a sister, Adele, who was born in 1909 and died in 1930. My father was devestated by the lose of his mother, who divorced his father, and by the death of his sister.
I would like to think there are many of us, who share this Brideson connection, and who are interested in getting to know one another.
