This was started to help my son with a family tree report in school. I've always wanted to start a family tree and see where it leads us to in our respective family histories. I've always found it fascinating to learn about your ancestors. We've got a 50th wedding anniversary coming up in the fall for my parents in Northern California and hope to get a few family members together to help celebrate the occasion. About 10 - 15 years ago, my parents' house was robbed. The police suspect that kids were the main perpetrators in this case. Having jewelery, silverware, keepsakes, money and other valuables stolen was bad enough news, but the worse part of the whole incident was that whomever did the dirty deed also stole (and probably ditched)all of our family photo albums. As a child, I spent many hours poring over the scores of wonderfully preserved photos of my mother and father's families. I can still see many of these photos in my mind's eye, but unfortunately, I cannot transfer any of these precious images over to my children and my husband so that they may get a sense of where I came from and how I came to be in this world. Maybe this family tree can help pave the way.
