My father, David Wallace McGregor, passed away in Yountville, California (Napa valley)on March 22,1997. He grew up in the Pacific Northwest and so I decided to try and research his family history here, on this site. He never really liked California and often longed to return home to the state of Washington. I am sorry I didn't take him back there in the few years before he died. He often told wonderful stories about growing up in Vancouver and then later as a teenager moving in with his sister, Edith, in Washington, who finished raising him along with teaching him to dance!
Much has been said about the history on my mother's side of the family and I will explore those roots too. But for now I feel a need to pay some attention to the McGregors far and wide. My father is survived by a son, Alex, two daughters,Pat and Sylvia, two granddaughters, Lyndsay Farley and Jessica Miller, and two great grandsons,Blake and Blayne Drinnen. I think they may be interested to learn more about their history as part of the McGregor clan.
