Now that my parents, grandparants, and anyone else who might know information to reach back in our family lines has died, I creat this modest tribute to their existance, Americans all. I have spent over a decade researching and writing of Edgar Allan Poe's family in Ayrshire, Scotland, and now that the project is finished, I have to look into my own families' connections. I have traced my mother's side of the Whitlows back to Meaklynburg, Virginia, and a 1640 connection to the earlies families in that area.
