About Our Family Research


I am at present researching 3families.My own families Briggs and Baker and my wifes family Booth.
I have traced my family back to my great great greatfather Jeremiah Briggs born 1789 he married Mary Tunnicliffe
My research on my wife's family I have got back 6 generations to1763.Her ancestor was Joseph Booth born in Knottingley Yorkshire.
The Baker family are based in Chesterfield and I have traced back to my great great great greatfather George Baker born 1768 he married Elizabeth Tompkin in 1783.Any imformation on Bakers still living in Chesterfeild area welcome.Last known are william Baker born 1876 born Renishaw.George Baker born 1874 at Whittington Moor.Ernest Baker born 1894 at Renishaw.
