Father was Basil A. Brockles also known as Bill or Chef arrived in USA in 1912 from Milissi, Greece. Died in Dallas, Texas 1956 at 61 yrs of age, maried Abigail Fidelia Alston in 1922. This union produced 5 children Basil(me), Angela Grace Pascoe, Elaine Pandora Doty, Georgene Griffin and Constance Mcnabb. My Father's brother Andrew arrive in USA 1n 1910. His marriage to Ola also produced 5 children, Sophia mae, Andrew, Aletheia, Arge, and Margaret. I married Lois Elizabeth Calhoun in 1948; we have been blessed with 5 children, Basil lll, Lois Ann Malin, Cynthia Macwilliams, Thomas and Nancy Rathmanner. They have added 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren to the line in addition to 6 step grandchildren. My sisters and cousins have added more or less equally to the increase of descendants. The two sides of the Brockles hold Reunions sporadically, the first in 1987 with a second currently planned at our house June 30, 2001. The first generation have all passed on but generations 2,3,4 and 5 will gather; we're expecting about 75 of the approximately 150 eligible. My Father and Uncle are honored in the University of Texas Institute of Texan Cultures at San Antonio, Texas and in the pamphlet "The Greek Texans" issued by the Institute.
