Thompson married Mary Kendall who was age 25yrs when she married the widowed Thompson who was 50yrs. They were married on Aug 25, 1859. They were married by the Rev. S. V. Blake in Frederick Co. Virginia.

Special note**** It has been said that there is 28 children in all. Some are not proven to be offspring. I just found this out and plan on continuing my investigation on this wild number.
