Not many will care,but the memoires are there,the interviews,the stories,they tears and the songs of glory. The history of broken families.Blended ethnicities throughout the history,see what you want to see amd know we overcame by the word of our testimonies and the blood shed to set us free.The Blood of the Lamb.So, my search began.A Legacy of lost and hidden names,lost records and those unclaimed who from a noose did hang.An inheritance with pain yet I will try to explain and link the ancestral chain,We will discover by and by from whence we came.From the Continent of Africa to the slaveships and then a slave pen.Tracing roots where we can. Determined to have a sense of family nonetheless.A people weakened and yet still strong,still blessed.I begin the journey with great grandmother's song...Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me,I once was lost but now I am found was blind but now I SEE...What a wonderful day to see when I can find my family tree.I will add on as the pieces come together to knit this family quilt generation by generation. in America is recorded as being born January 17th 1889.She was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She worked as a missionary and government seamstress during World War I> After the 1937 Flood, she moved to St Louis Missouri. She had children. Edward Duncan,Cleona Owens and Bertha Boston. Bertha Boston's daughter
named Luzetter Louise Ross, born also in Indiana, gave birth to four children.Her husband's name is George Wesley Wilson.Their children's names are Kathy Lynn,Gayle Michael,Darryl Oliver and Lawrence Allen.Great great grandchildren include Fikisha Renee(Alcena),Danielle Christienne(Alcena)Christiana--Wilson,Nicholas
Wilson,Silver Challis--Wilson, Princess-- Wilson,Tamille Wilson,Darryl Oliver Wilson Jr.Westley Austin Alcena.(Bryant),Naomi Gayle Bryant,Alexa Wilson, Arielle Wilson and a host of other relatives as of August 5th 2004.Luzetter Duncan left alegacy of community work in the neighborhood feeding children,providing food and drink.She loved to sing songs from her spirit throughout the house.She was clearly of a mixed heritage.Her long silky black hair that reached below her waist and her facial features gave away her Indian ancestry. Her daughter Bertha Boston of opposite complexion (extremely light)
was too of mixed heritage.More Caucasion features began to express through the geneology.Luzetter Louise Ross the daughter of Bertha Boston had brothers.Russell, James,...these brothers had children.Luzetter L. Ross learned the skill of piano early in your childhood. She played the piano throughout her youth and adult life.She studied and perfected her talents.The music talent was never hidden.The United States Government benefitted from her talents on and off base she gave exceptional performances.She taught children music as well. Her chldren were all introduced to musical instruments.And so the song continues on.Her love for music continues in the dance,poetry,research for better health,celebration of life over adversities,studies of cultural strengths and the environmental factors that reveal the keeping power and focus to strive toward awakening melodies in
The Song of Life,Overcoming strife,racism,slavery,abuse,conflict,
disparity, the struggle continues. This song of freedom and Divine right to pursue truth prevails beyond changing times.The Grace is amazing.The fight for fair and humane treatment,equal opportunity,creativity under Divine order still permeates in the lives of her generations.Reunion will be attempted as possible and family news grows as generations grow.
