Families of PENNINGTON, (Davidson, Combs, Holmes, Parsons, Olinger, Duff), on my Grandfather's side, and... DEATON, ( Begley, Hensley) on my Grandmother's side of my family.
My Grandfather and grandmother where Greenberry Pennington ( b. 24 Sept. 1899 of Perry Co., Ky. ) and Susie Deaton ( b.15 Oct. 1905). Susie was the daughter of Lewis Deaton b. 20 Nov. 1881 & Dora (Begley) Deaton b. 1878. I Know that Lewis and Dora Deaton where Married 23 Nov. 1901 and that they were both from Krypton, Kentucky at some point. Don't have any more info. on Dora (Begley) Deaton my Grandmother's mother Begley Family Ancestry.
Greenbeery was the son of Alexander H. Pennington of Perry Co. ( b.14 Apr. 1869) and Arminty Belle Davidson b. 4 Feb. 1971 in Grapevine, Perry Co., Ky.
Am trying to find out more about the Deaton , Davidson, Begley Family ancestry lines.
My Grandpa Geenberry Pennington b. 1899 was named after his Grandfather. His grandfather Greenberry that was born on 2 May 1826 in Lee Co., Va. d. Perry county, Kentucky and married Susan Holmes 6 May 1871 in Harlan Co., Ky. She was born; 26 Dec. 1834 in Wilkes Co., Va.
My Great Grandparents...Alexander H. Pennington & Arminty B. Davidson are laded to rest in the Pennington Family Cemetery at the head of Lead-Branch river, near Krypton, Kentucky in Perry County.
My Mother Imogene Pennington is one of 12 children 6 boys & 6 girls. Greenberry and Susie had 12 children.
Am searching to learn more about my Grandma Susie Deaton's Family history and my Great Grandmother Arminty Belle Davidson's Family history. Most of my Family history that I do have relates to the my mothers "Pennington" line. I am Johnny Brooks son of Imogene (Pennington) Brooks. This family tree research is only related to my Maternal family lines. Am doing separate family research for may "Brooks" Paternal family lines. Any specific information you may have relating to this research would be highly appreciated.
