Notes for Stephen John Fitzpatrick: Stephen came to this country in 1863, his parents had come several years before. He was cared for as a child by his maternal Grandfather Lawrence Woods. His parents had settled in NY and then after a year or two they moved to Fayetteville Ohio. His father was killed in an accident when Stephen was 15 (Abt 1863). Stephen was a bookkeeper and paymaster on the Cumberland Cincinnati Southern RR during its construction. The headquarters were in Somerset KY. There he met Lucy Fitzpatrick.
