John Wesley II Evans (b. January 1862, d. 06 December 1940)

John Wesley II Evans (son of John Wesley Evans and Theresa C. Hauke) was born January 1862 in Logan Co Ohio, and died 06 December 1940. He married Matilda Theresa (Muller) Miller on 16 October 1888 in St. Patricks Church Fayetteville, Ohio, daughter of Jacob (Muller) Miller and Matilda Shawler.

Aunt Mary Fitzpatrick writes that John Wesley II Evans was born while his father was away for the Civil War - and his Mother took him to the Army Camp to show him to his Father. She also writes that he started out as a farmer but became interested in politics. In 1903, when Aunt 'Til was about 5-6 months old, the family moved to Fayetteville. He was elected Mayor of Fayetteville and was also elected a County Commissioner for Brown Co, Ohio.
