Captain in the War of 1812 The 1840 Federal Census Humphreys County, Tennessee, M704, Roll 524, Page 218 lists a William Bolton Jr, age 20-30, his wife is 15-20, living next door to William Bolton Sr. The following is furnished by Vicki Sydow, granddaughter of Boss Berryman, 24 Sep 2000, GCN 00510. William owned land in Humphries County, Tennessee from 1830 until 1843. The family paid taxes on the land 3 years after his death. (Reference tax records District 1).
