Porter Gilthreoy Fletcher (son of Robert Griffin Fletcher and Cinderella Clementine Berry) was born August 02, 1888 in Starkville, Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, and died July 08, 1954 in WIchita Falls, Texas. He married Mable Bolton on December 27, 1914 in Henrietta, Texas, daughter of William Henry Bolton and Sabra Elizabeth Jones.

Porter's father, Robert Griffin Fletcher, and 2 1/2 year old Melvin was living with the family. Robert was 68 yrs old, and born in Alabama.
