Catherine "Katie" Gertrude Fletcher, killed herself in Greeley, Colorado, September 1921. She is the mother of Clara Burke Douglass, who is 86 and her brother Gus is 84 yrs old. Gertrude had a baby out of wedlock a few months before she took an overdose. Her husband had died a few years before. Clara and Gus (ages 11 and 9), were placed in separate orphan homes in Denver. The baby was adopted, it is thought by a "movie star" that vacationed in Denver.
