Henry Brown was my great-grandfather. He served time in a Mississippi prison around 1895 for killing a white man.. Henry was married to a woman named Celie and had children, one of whom was my grandfather, Willie Brown. Other related ancestors were Whitsett (or Whitsitt); Rush; Casson; Hopson; Thedfords (pre 1880's). They originated in Livingston, Alabama and migrated to Kemper County, MS.I would like to receive information about prison conditions during the period of time that he was there. I would also like to learn as much about his life as I can. I'm willing to share information that I already have gathered.
