My name is Brenda Kay (Heggins) Bryant. I am a member of the "Heggins" clan on my father's father's side of the family, the Minnie Miller on my father's mother's side of the family and the Jauer clan on my mother's father's side of the family, and the Parry/Taylor's on my mother's mother's side of the family. I recently visited with a 3d cousin in Austin, TX who provided me with resource information about Johann Carl Ludwig Jauer and His Descendants, published for the family in 2002, author and researcher is M. C. Forister. I have been researching my mother's maternal ancestors, my great-great-great-grandfather and grandmother were John James Parry and Mary Elizabeth Vaught Parry, my great-great grandfather and mother were John Henry Parry and Nellie Eads Parry, my greatgrandfather and greatgrandmother were Derefus T. Taylor and Myrtle Bell Parry Taylor. My grandfather and grandmother were Leland Gottfried Jauer and Hazel Bell Taylor Jauer (Brock). My father was Ben W. Heggins and my mother is Hazel Beatrice Jauer Heggins.
I would be interested in any publications, stories, etc about any side of the family you may be able to offer. I am particulalry interested in Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korean Conflict, Vietman era stories because I am an Army Veteran. I would also like to know about spiritual affiliations, ie Methodist, Baptist, backgrounds. I was not raised around any family because my father Ben W. Heggins, worked in California and Arizona, thus my only contact with relatives was during infrequent vacations, so any information would be a delight to see, read and would give me a sense of belonging to the bigger picture of the human race and a family line.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
With God's Love
Brenda Kay (Heggins) Bryant
