Descendants of Bluford Rose, who came to Comfort, Kendall County, Texas about 1852, and including the Rausch, Kneupper and Gourley families who came to the Kendalia, Kendall County, Texas area about the same time, built several Catholic churches in the Blanco and Kendalia areas.
