Charles Moody born to William and wife Rhoda(Boyes) Moody On 26 June 1845, the second youngest of a family of twelve.Spent his early years in and around Hollym East Yorkshire . In May 1868 He sailed for america in company with his brother John, Johns wife Magaret,and Johns two children, Margaret aged 2 and infant John. They sailed on the ship W.F Storer under command of Robert Cunningham, landing at New York Harbour ,on July9th 1868 as per Charles diary and the maritime news New York times. Robt Cunningham, dated his arrival report 9- 9 1868, instead of 9-8-1868. Charles came to Ontario,Pickering area and married Jeanette Chambers 3 February 1870 and lived at Altona were first three childen were born. In 1877 he purchased Lot 18 in the 10 concession of Sandfield twp. Manitoulin Island. Charles oldest brother, Daniel Moody lived in Whitevale Ont. immigrating earlier Charles Moody's father was William Moody born in 1798 at Patrington Haven, He lists his father as West Moody William married Rhoda Boyes 29 Nov 1832, daughter of John Boyes
