My sister and I have been researching Bryants, Gossetts, Sullivans, and the related lines of Thorntons, Duncans,Allens, Harringtons, Lovells, Owens, Parhams and V(F)entress for 25 yrs. Most of our ancestors came from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Kentucky settling in Middle Tennessee,primarily in Rutherford Co, Bedford Co, Marshall Co, Williamson Co, Dickson Co, Perry Co,and Hickman Co, Tennessee. I am one of a long line of Bryants who still make their home in Hickman County. Some of our ancestors eventually made their west to Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
My primary lines on the Bryant side of the family are Bryants and Gossetts; while on my mother side the primary lines are Sullivans and Gossetts. To date I have not been able to connect the Gossetts on my father's side with the Gossetts on my mother's side, but the search will continue. Would be happy to exchange information on any of the lines listed above.
