My family came from the Netherlands. I have found that my Great Great Grandmother married into the Yntema family in the Netherlands. Other names in my family tree are: Schakel, Folkening, DeWitt, and DeWitte. I have family still in the Netherlands and also in Aulstria.
I have gone to the library in Holland, Michigan and have found a great deal of information there. I have also gone to the cemeteries there and have found the graves of my ancesters four generations back.
We have a DeWitt/DeWitte family reunions every year and we try and keep up on the tree.
