I began researching at the urging of my daughter Leslie. She kept bugging me about this Cherokee thing. I have seen pictures of my great grand parents standing next to a building (out building of some sort) and yes they are full Cherokee, no mistaking that. The picture was kept by my aunt margaret (Hopkins).
My father, Albert Lee Burnett the first, had three primary relationships with women. The first produced six children. The second produced two children. The third produced three children, Curtis Keith, Yvonne Lee (me), and Albert Lee II. There could possibly be more as he did travel the world and was known as "Casanova" by my cousins, Mitchell's daughters, Patti and Geraldine.
