I, Brandi Budell, have been researching the Budel family for a little over a year now.
I have traced the family back to coming over from Germany in May of 1881. Immigration records show that the eldest son, Josef Florian and a uncle named Josef came to the states first. I am still looking for the information on Florian Budel. Florians pregnant wife, Maria Kauf and 8 children came over in 1882 and then migrated to Belleville, Illinois, where their last child, Adolph John was born 4 months later, September 1882.
Maria past away 4 years after arriving in the states. I am not sure what the circumstance are behind her death. I have petitioned to Illinois for any records they may have.
