This branch of the BUTCHER family has been traced to the Ramsgate area of England in the late 1700's. During the 1800's Scotland and Ireland were host to many of our ancestors. It wasn't till after World War I that my father, Andrew Roxburgh Butcher, came to the USA, the first of the family to do so.
Many thaks to Elma Richmond, a fine Scottish lady, who helped enormously in uncovering birth, marriage and death records.
