Vanard is son of John Tipton Barber and Harriett Haynes. Married to Cleadus Tomlinson and they have 4 children: Carolyn, Jerry, Rhonda, Donna and had a daughter named Judy that died same day she was born. They lived in Pulaski County, KY and now reside in Milford, Ohio. They have 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. I have been trying to find their ancestors and just started doing so in the past month.
John Tipton Barber's parents are: John Bruce Barber and Sophia Isabell Dykes. I have been able to find Sophia's parents: Eli Dykes and Barbara Stephens, Eli's father was William Dykes and his father was James Dykes. I also found that Sophia was also married to James Carter Mounce and Ist married to Eli Dykes, a second cousin. Dykes is Sophia Isabell's maiden name. John Bruce's parents, we believe to be George W. Barber and Cynthia Warner. Georges parents to be James Barber and Nancy Cox and James' father to be a Robert Barber (wife unknown) who had at least 2 sons Charles and James.
