I got in to Genealogy Sept. 1986. With the support of my family it has been a very rewarding hobbie. Because mother & daddy had all ready pasted away it has been ruff at times. Don had all ready lost his dad as well and it sure made it hard as we tryed to recall all the family stories they told.

Every year we attend the Yancey Medearis Hicks Family Reunion. Don is Medearis and I am from the Yancey. Makes it extra Special. We were married 28 years when we found out we were cousin.The Yancey Medearis Hicks Reunion is held every year in Greenville, Texas the second Sat. In June. With five Grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren we want them to know all about there Family History.I don't want them to have to do so much research to find there Grandparents the way I had to do.We are very proud of our Grandparents and Great Grandparents and Great Great and so on. To find a missing link is the very Greatest.It took 13 years to find Don's Great Great Jacob Butler.But once I found him a whole new family opened up.What a treasure.Looking forward to finding more missing links.
