I have been researching and sharing information with other cousins since 1960. My search continued beyond America, back to Europe, Canada and the migration of each family across the U.S. There were many who helped to add to what I had found and we connected our families through sharing. I had hired a professional genealogist, Mrs. Rose, at one point with the Hicks family, who traveled to the various locations to dig into old books, Bibles and musty data from libraries and archives. Cousins helped with adding what they had researched and we combined our efforts, sharing what we located, unselfishly. One reunion in Springfield, MO. led to many new avenues and new names, I thank our cousin, Ethel Young for her work and her books she had published as part of the family history. It is like connecting the dots and coming up with a portrait of yesterday's families.
